When the Nuthatches were on the feeder they only had one seed on their minds.
...everything else was scattered in the search...
...much to the delight of the birds below...
Robin was having a wonderful time with plenty of choice.
A black sunflower seed makes it all worthwhile.
Ah, such intelligence, Andrew. Though it takes a good eye, as you have here, to depict it.
ReplyDeletelike the flapping wing shot. (:
ReplyDeleteNice shots Andrew
ReplyDeletewish you a lovely sunday.
Greetz, Joop
Beautiful shots of birds.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colours these little birds show us! Great captures.
ReplyDeleteI only put out black oil sunflower seed, so the scattering doesn't happen. What the nuthatches do is pick up every seed, weigh it, pick the meatiest one and then fly off. Soon back for another and repeat performance. Some they eat, some they are stashing in our woodpile for colder weather.
ReplyDeletehaha. funny guy. :)
ReplyDeletewe get that here, too. the chickadees and titmice are terrible sunflower hounds.
The Nuthatch was back in our garden tonight, but he didn't seem to be as fussy as yours! From Findlay
ReplyDeleteGreat Nuthatch, and succeed is funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Andrew ...
