At last some warm sunshine in the garden.
The warm weather made the fat balls I put out for the birds a bit soft.
Not a problem for my garden House Sparrows.
They have been gorging themselves all day.
This little youngster has mastered the splits to balance on a perch.
The juveniles were having fun... and glad the rain has passed for a while.
Lovely ain't he.
ReplyDeletecute little mush mouths. :)
ReplyDeleteas glad as you are to see sun, i've got fingers and toes crossed for rain. we have rumbles in the area. please-please-please send that rain down!
You are lucky getting good numbers of House Sparrows visiting your garden Andrew, I can`t remember the last time we had one in ours! A sign of the times I suppose.

Great to see Andrew.
ReplyDeleteI get a few in the garden, and the fat balls seem to be the favourite food.
aren't they just having a ball; great photographs Drew
ReplyDeleteWarm sunshine Andrew, what's that then?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of your House Sparrows having a feed. Those around here seem to have had a good breeding season as there are lots of newly fledged youngsters about at the moment (great to see).
Unfortunately, for my wallet that is, they seem to have taken a liking for the sunflower hearts over the fatballs!...[;o)
The fourth shot cracked me up! It looks like he's doing splits!
ReplyDeleteCute shots of the sparrows. the fat balls look popular!
ReplyDeletethat first shot the bird looks so personable, i love the way he looks like he is FOCUSED on that food, with one foot up and one down, like let me at it.
ReplyDeleteWow he's good at the splits!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteThey are funny with food all over their beaks.
ReplyDeleteI love to see the birds enjoying themselves at the feeders! It's really fun when they bring the babies.

ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the House Sparrows Andrew! I especially liked the juvies. It sure looks like you could go broke putting out those suet balls the way they devour them!
