I took these images a couple of weeks ago while at Haydn's Pool.
I was enjoying the company and casually clicking the shutter to get some memories of the day rather than images to share.
I should have been paying a bit more attention.
If I had I would have had the bird in focus when it found a worm...
...and started to tug!
It would have been an image worth sharing alone... if only the worm had been in focus.
LoL... hey, at least you captured the moment! They still look great. If that worm were in my yard it would be fried..it's that hot here!
ReplyDeletewe can see the worm and how hard he is tugging, so no problem with the little bit of blur.
ReplyDeleteClear or blurry.. A wonderful series!
ReplyDeleteIts the moment to capture for you too keep. If you are able to share them all the better.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week

It's hard work, great images.
ReplyDeletehaha this is super!!
ReplyDeleteBlur or not, this is a once in a lifetime shot. Awesome. My mind now goes to the old cartoons where the worm snaps free from the ground and slaps the bird in the beak and escapes.
ReplyDeleteLovely series, Drew. Wonderful that last image with the bird's feet positioned showing how much she's straining.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, a bird.. never standing still!!
ReplyDeleteBut we enjoy!!!
Great shots ... beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat action photos - even if they are not as sharp as you wanted!
ReplyDeleteGreat series! Nice action shots with the worm, cool!
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how many shots I've missed either not paying attention or with no camera. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteNice shots Andrew.
ReplyDeleteCool shots. I had to laugh at what Sinbad's comment.
ReplyDeleteThose are still very cool shots, Andrew! I've watched a lot of our robins snatching worms, but I've never seen one that stubborn. It looks like he's pulling on a rubber band.
ReplyDeleteCool shots...enjoyed them :)Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteShantana
Those weren't in focus? At least one of your devoted fans would never have noticed ;>) I love the shots.
ReplyDeleteFantastic sequence!
ReplyDeleteStill a great moment captured Andrew! I do understand coming home with what could have been a great shot if only a certain aspect was in focus. You did manage to capture a great moment though. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are great pictures. Never seen a bird tug at a worm. Awesome!
