During July last summer my Dslr went kaput.
It was right at the start of my two week summer holiday... I had plans that went right out of the window.
While the camera was at the repairers I replaced it with an older model bought on the auction site... but this took two attempts and 3/4's of my break to sort out.
I have a little camcorder which I had already had a bit of success with but hadn't used for months.
I also had my lovely little point and shoot.
I was out for a drive during the middle weekend of my break when I passed the Cheshire Polo Club.
Matches were taking place...it was free to spectate.
And the subjects were big enough for my little camera to capture.
I have already shared the story of the Polo Match
The point of this post is to share my first attempt at slow motion video.
My aim is to try and slow down birds on my garden feeders... It may take a bit more editing.
Many thanks for your visit... have a great weekend.
That was pretty cool, can't wait to see how birds go!
ReplyDeleteSomething I've not tried yet Andrew.
ReplyDeleteI bet birds in flight would look pretty good. :-)
like the slow motion, it is easier to tell what they are doing. they move so fast i can't tell.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for your attempt at slowing things down.
ReplyDeletebeautiful, powerful horses. their haunches are so well-developed. and i did like the club swing in slo-mo.
ReplyDeletei'm really amazed at how folks play this game. it must be a lot of work & exercise. to have the horse going where you wish & playing a sport... really makes my brain hurt. i would love to see it in person though. ha. ha!! have a great weekend, Andrew. (:
ReplyDeleteI bet it works great for your birds.

ReplyDeleteGreat Job Andrew, I always wonder if the horses know its a game they are playing to they seem to have their eye on the ball..
ReplyDeleteI like your plan:) Very cool idea.
ReplyDeleteVery cool video, Andrew! I hope you're successful slowing the birds down...I would love to see that!
ReplyDeleteGreat little movie here, and can't wait to see how it works on the birds.

I'd say that's very good for a first attempt. Never tried it myself.
ReplyDeleteI find polo fascinating.
