My wonderful spring sunshine is set to change...............................................

This might be the last blue sky I see for a while... the unseasonal weather we have been having with temperatures over 20c (70f) are set to plummet... Snow is forecast on high ground for Monday.

This is the Town Bridge in Northwich...  it crosses the River Weaver which features in a lot in my posts.

Built in 1899 it's a few hundred yards upstream from Hayhurst Bridge which was built a year earlier.
They were the first two electrically powered swing bridges in Great Britain to be built on floating pontoons to counteract the salt mine subsidence.

My short sleeved shirts are back in the wardrobe... fleece jacket and waterproofs are at the ready.

  4. ...it was nice while it lasted, and you know it will happen again. Good to have the cold weather gear at the ready Drew and who knows what it will bring out for your camera. Hopefully some snow photos coming up? Good for the viewer maybe not the photographer :).

  8. We had some cooler weather but it has evened itself out now. We are having more "normal temp" now instead of summertime temps. Beautiful sky and a lovely shot of the bridge. Happy skywatching!

  9. Beautiful bridge! We are still having
80F weather here, which is very nice since I have a lot of outdoor work to do.

Maybe your cold weather will be over quickly and you can put your short sleeves back on!

  10. Too bad about the weather change, must be very confusing for the wildlife. Great looking bridge.

  16. Pulled out my woolen sweater again and wear when I take the dog for a walk along the West River Trail. Icy wind there. Nice pic of the swing bridge. I suppose it swings up?
