Found during my image sorting.... some of the ones that missed out.
Just the odd twig (or ten) in the way of a clean image... or am I just being fussy.
Chaffinch.
Goldfinch.
Robin in my garden singing his heart out last March.

I like them; I've put the last one on my list to see!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteI've to look out for the last one.
Mette
Great bird shots! Especially the last one...lol.
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE them!
ReplyDeletethose first couple of finches are gorgeous. laughing at the unicorn. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely, but I like Goldfinch most. Well, an unknown species looks interesting:)
ReplyDeleteI think you are being too fussy, these are great photos. I love the Chaffinch, twig and all!
ReplyDeleteLovely bird pictures :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
Eva
For once I am able to identify one of your photos instead of vice versa - the last one is a Happy Sac (Saccullus gauisus).
ReplyDeleteI agree.. those pesky little birdies totally get in the way of those magnificent twigs!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! And I'm sure you know that if I had taken any of those pictures of twigs I'd be so excited to post them on WBW that I'd be beside myself. There are photographers -- and then there are the point-and-shooters like me!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite an interesting species that rare bird in the last shot!
what gorgeous birds. love each one. wow!! (:
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures from 2011, they are delicious, in photos and not for eating.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I know those very twigs--and they mess with your focus, too, don't they? But you have much more than managed--that song thrush!
ReplyDeleteI have so many "twig bird" shots..yours are very good indeed!!
ReplyDeleteAah, the twigs, been there done that. You have some great shots Andrew. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is a lifer.
ReplyDeleteHa! I'll have to remember that excuse the next time birds get in the way of my branch photos. ;-) That Goldfinch is gorgeous! We have tons of that last bird...they're such a nuisance. LOL
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteOh well, twigs happen. Beautiful pictures all the same. Apart from the "unicorn' phot the seconf image also has "twigs" protruding from its' head.
ReplyDeletetwigs are nature's bounty too; don't dismiss the birds for them. We can handle it! Bring the bird photos out; all of them, and keep on sharing; they're all beautiful 'cepting I'm thinking the last one was a ring-in.
ReplyDeletethat first one would make a wonderful Easter card. I wish birds like this would get in the way of my twigs. beautiful and i like the unknown species.
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew...You are a funny guy...lol...
ReplyDeleteGracexx
Round bird is a new one for me, thanks for sharing! LOL!
ReplyDeleteFat and small birds :o)
ReplyDeleteI loooove the last bird. It's like a ball :o)
A very entertaining post. At least you weren't tempted to do a bit of the old Photoshop on them! Actually, I think many of them are fine as they are - especially the Redwing shot.
ReplyDeleteI love the song thrush the best,am laughing about your rare last bird!phyllis
ReplyDeleteDelightful photos. Last species is a Puffballius inflatus ;-)
ReplyDeleteFussy or not they are awesome shots, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the beauty you see.
The second one is gorgeous. You must have a great camera! sandie
ReplyDeleteTwigs are a particular hazard when trying to get good photos of birds. At least with flowers you have a chance to weed or trim or reposition, not so with birds....
ReplyDeleteYou are so awesome with taking pictures of birds. The last bird is my favorite! :)
