Black-necked Swan............................ I knew I had an image in the bank!

I have shared some of my lovely swans in the last couple of weeks.
Whooper and Mute... are beautiful white swans to see and I am so lucky to have Black Swans on my patch...  originally from Australia.

A few years ago (2008) I had a week long holiday in Norfolk.
During my stay I had a visit to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve.

At the time home to the BBC programme Springwatch.

My visit coincided with the filming of the 2008 series of the programme.
This post is to share another wonderful Swan.... originally from South America.

Black-necked Swan (Cygnus melancoryphus)

Swans really are wonderful birds to see.

We have seen a Black Swan in certain areas of Peterborough before now, but not for a while, maybe it has gone back to Australia? ;)
