Haydn's Pool last weekend..... frozen.
This is my local favourite place to watch wildlife.
Buttermere in the English Lake District ... on a beautiful sunny April afternoon.
It's a lovely four mile walk around the lake surrounded by high fells...
... and I have also walked all the tops.
This is my favourite place to have a holiday... and relax.
To see more wonderful images visit.

that 2nd shot is really beautiful. :)
The 2nd place seems be pretty
I can well believe that both these places can exert quite a pull. A four hour walk for me would probably be double that but I still would love to circumnavigate that Buttermere of yours.
Have a very joyful Christmas!
I bet you can see a lot of wildlife in the grasses around the pond. Both places look just beautiful!
Beautiful and great barns in the last post!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Such beautiful clear skies! It does look so peaceful! Wonderful captures for the day, Andrew! Wishing you and yours a lovely holiday season!

Both lovely photographs of your favourite place Andrew; the second is especially majestic. That's quite some trekking to be done walking those hilltops too I'd imagine.
It looks like a great place to walk and see wildlife!
Both of those places could pass for being right here in northern California. Are we not fortunate to have something like this to enjoy so close by?
You are right, that takes the biscuit. A sunny outlook over Haydn's Pool and the Lake District, most amazing photos.
I can understand why you love these 2 places! Beautiful!
Merry Christmas!

Beautiful place to relax, I took Buttermere, too, there would have liked :-)
For me I would not exchange this place to any mall. This is my kind of place. ^_^

I can see why these are two of your favorite places to go and visit with your camera in hand. I loved your brick barns yesterday, but these waters and landscapes are divine. Beautiful photography.genie
I like it Andrew !
Buttermere is on the list for next year. It looks a wonderful place.
Wonderful favorite places, Andrew. I love favorite places.. I think everyone should have at least one to call their own.
I'm ashamed to say that I've never been to the Lake District. Mistake...
Will try not to miss them next time I'm in England:)
Superb home patch and an excellent holiday location Andrew...[;o)
Very lovely. The first photo looks a lot like lakes in Florida. Of course, we lack the beautiful mountains in the second photo.
Beautiful place. I can see why it would be a favorite.
Lovely photographs of a beautiful part of the world! Have a wonderful Christmas!
So beautiful and so peaceful... I love it Andrew!
Christmas greetings from Holland,
Anna :-))
They'd be my favorites too -- but that top one? Only in the summer.
