Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Martin Mere................... a lovely day out

I am on a short break from work and today I had a lovely visit to Martin Mere.

It was only 3pm but the sun was setting.

Martin Mere is one of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trusts reserves and is well worth a visit.
Pochard (Aythya ferina)

Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna)

Eider (Somateria mollissima)
I have loads of images to sort through and hopefully find some more worth sharing.
I also took some video clips.

    A beautiful sunset - or were you up with the birds and it's sunrise? The Eider is so very pretty with the brush of pearl pink and the shellduck also very unique in colourings. I don't recall ever seeing these varieties here in Australia. Excellent captures.
