Cornwall 1974
On holiday in Spain 1975.
A friend of mine posted a clip of music on Facebook last weekend.
It brought back some wonderful memories.
I googled and visited YouTube and was amazed to find all the images and music clips I needed to quickly make a post about my teenage years in the 1970's... it took me less than half an hour.
As I watched it back I think it was (for me) my best post ever.

I hope these clips explain what Northern Soul was all about..
The Internet is full of old records and images... Youtube has brought back some wonderful memories over the past few evenings.
I hope these clips explain what Northern Soul was all about..
Friends have made comments about last Saturdays post... even adding it to their Facebook pages.
Wonderful memories of a lovely part of my life..
Northern Soul as I have discovered on the Internet still has a massive following....Happy Days!

ReplyDeleteGreat music for those who like it, and you do. The photos of you is fantastic. I will have to put mine up as well, lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool post! I just love these old pics that make us remember how we looked like those days. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! what a stud! :)
ReplyDeletei got a weird message about loading some software when this post opened, so if you start getting weird bugs, it's probably something that came over from these vids...
Got it this time......cheers. Where are the leathers? I was mostly climbing in North Wales weekends so missed out on Northern Soul. I did visit it a few years back. Not for me, though James Taylor I do enjoy. I used to do the commute to peace and the hills on a BSA Bantam the big one at 175cc. Then upgraded to a Gold Star. Even oilier and dirtier. Saturday Night at The Movies is Okay. Doesn't hold a candle to Otis Reading or Simon and Garfunkel.
ReplyDeleteGreat memories. Matlock Bath Pavilion was are venue.
Those certainly were the days , my friend . . . oh how your post took me back.
ReplyDeleteLovely post Andrew, enjoyed it immensely, thank you.
