The weather was lovely this morning so I decided to drive to Porthmadog (Portmadoc when I was a child) in North Wales.
I spent nearly every weekend here as a youngster as my parents had a yacht.
Dad was a keen sailor.
The Ffestiniog Railway was built for the slate industry...it is now all about the tourists.
Black Rock Sands... is usually a lot busier... this is where I first drove a car... aged 10
Just a taster of my day I will add more info in the next couple of days.
It will take a few posts as the journey itself is worth a mention.
Today brought back some wonderful memories from the 1960's.
A lot has changed in Porthmadog since then.... and it's all the better for it.
A lovely day.
