It never surprises me what I see on my walks...
Creepy crawlies and slimey slugs....we share the planet with some wondeful wildlife.

I have never seen a slug six foot up a tree before... the tree was only seven foot tall.
It was making his way back down...
A short time later I saw a real monster on the path... he was huge!
My car keys to try and show how big he was...
I have a little car...the keys are normal size
...a face only a mother could love...
We share our countryside with some fascinating wildlife.
um, yeah. those are definitely monsterish. :)
ReplyDeleteAll too true Andrew. In tropical waters I have seen sea-slugs the size of a loaf o bread so thick on the ocean floor you had to watch where you put your feet between them. The people there eat them. I know the French eat snails and I have (once) too, yet somehow, eating slugs is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
And I thought I had slug problems ;)
ReplyDeleteHe's huge!
Yeah! That's nice!
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Here in the Pacific Northwest we have Banana slugs so named because they are yellow like a banana and nearly as big. Not something you'd want to step on...especially barefoot.
ReplyDeleteThere are some large ones about.......good job you hadn't taken a salad with you.....been a rare fight over it.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised ... beautiful shots!
