The cars I owned in the 1970's.............. what fun!

I had a boy moment today recalling my old cars.
These are from the 1970's.
They are all shown in the order of ownership... lot's of memories.
The images are not of my actual cars... just downloaded from the net.
My first car... a Mk1 Austin Healey Sprite
The famous Frogeye.... sold a few months later as the insurance was far too much.

Sunbeam Stilletto... mine was a G reg..
Sold to a friend after my mum crashed it....
...he wrote it off.

Morris Minor 1000... I can't remember why I wanted this.

Hillman Avenger Sunseeker.
Starsky and Hutch... and a comfy back seat!

Mine was orange like the one in the brochure below.

1976 was so hot the vinyl roof peeled away from the roof as I travelled home from a holiday in Cornwall.

Triumph Spitfire MK4 in mimosa yellow.
I really loved this car..... sold when I got married in 1978

Talbot Horizon.
A sensible car for the married man...... sigh!
I have really enjoyed recalling my early transport.
If anyone reads this post I would love to read about your vehicles.

  3. ROFLMAO!!! too funny! the, um, comfortable back seat reference, then followed up after a bit with the sensible car for a married man. priceless!

my first car was a 1970 something Ford Pinto - bright orange body with white roof. stick-shift, of course, (as all of my cars have been since then). lots of fun in that car - not THAT kind of fun - running around w/ friends and partying stuff. :)
