Cemlyn Bay........ a video of the noisy tern colony

The Cemlyn Bay tern colony is on a small island in the brackish lagoon behind the pebble beach. 
The RSPB have roped off the top section to protect the ground nesting birds from the plodding feet of tourists but there is still a good vantage point for those with bins and scopes.


                               

As well as the terns Ringed Plovers, Black-headed Gulls and Oystercatchers breed here.

    Wonderful video Andrew. I can understand your frustration as I have also had problems uploading my videos to blogger. Always could before but not anymore - don't know what's going on with them lately.

    Cool video, they are a bunch of noisy birds. I assume the smaller brownish ones are the juvies. Wonderful video, Andrew. I enjoyed watching it a couple of times.

    Your video skills are off the hook Andrew. It's amazing the views you've packed into 41 seconds! Video is a whole speciality with a major skill set that must be learned and learning on the computer takes a lot of time. Good show!

    Thanks for posting the video, Andrew. Photos are wonderful, but your video really brought the scene to life - with sound! Quite a sight to see such a large nesting group of birds!

    holy smokes! that's a raucous community! LOVE those little fuzzy babies and their crazy-haired parents. :)

    when i played the video, one of my dogs perked up and was trying to discern what the...?? :)
