Marbury Country Park...................it was freezing

Robin
Grey Squirrel
I had a stroll along the edge of Budworth Mere this afternoon. The Mere was partially frozen over and from the number of stones and sticks on the ice people had been testing its strength. At the main hide the feeders were busy with Tits and Nuthatches enoying the birdfood the wardens have put out. The seed is supplied to Marbury by sponsor W.T.Gibson of Kingsley Mill owned by an old friend of mine. I got a picture of a squirrel sitting on the same post as my Nuthatch and Robin pics taken a few weeks ago. The highlight of my afternoon though has to be seeing Goldcrests a beautiful little bird in fact our smallest British bird.
