The Whitegate Way

The Whitegate Way
Cuddington Station
When we were kids (1960's) we used to go train spotting at Cuddington Station (and yes it was to see steam trains but in the days when kids could roam about in relative safety) and near by was a Branch Line to Winsford which we could access via Waste Lane after catching Sticklebacks and Minnows in the old Mill stream.

The Branch Line is now the Whitegate Way a popular 6 mile route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.About halfway along the line is Whitegate Station (the only station on the line) where there is now good car parking a picnic area and toilet facilities.

This whole area is full of very happy memories for me and I do circular walks taking in some of the Way as often as I can.
