Juvenile Blackbird moulting................................................. raised in my garden

Juvenile Blackbird in moult... born and bred in my garden.

It's been a good year for garden wildlife... I just haven't had much time to share it.
I have two weeks holiday coming up... and intend to make the most of it.

Nice one Andrew. I know how difficult it can be to get pictures of Blackbirds. They may be common but they are still shy.

I like his ruffled head, with just a hint of gape left. Be all growed up next year!

Such a sweet photo. It has to be wonderful to watch them hatched, fledged and grown!

How very cool! We had birds born and bred. Cedar waxwings. They were a delight!
