Siskins are back on the feeders.......................................................................

I saw Siskins in my garden for the first time just a couple of weeks ago... and today I had some more.

The damage to the perches on the feeders is caused by the squirrels... who else?

The Siskins hung around for about ten minutes or so...

...lovely little birds to watch.

At least the metal feeders are still intact... although still quite easy to feed from.

  1. Siskins are birds we've never had stop by here. I know they're frequent a bit further north of us. Beautiful birds and photos! The squirrels are relentless. I see my blog feed hasn't updated for you in over two weeks. I can't figure out what the problem is.

  5. Sweet! Not only the great siskin images but that squirrel just makes my day...it's a great shot even tho they DO eat a lot of seed that's meant for birds.

  7. the siskins are beautiful Drew but I know how totally FRUSTRATING it must be to find the squirrels invading your bird space. Do they cause any other damages elsewhere, would they get into house roofs etc?

  21. We have pine siskins in Oregon and I love them ...I think yours are a little more colorful.

Last Fall, our feeders in Oregon were nearly destroyed by a flock of starlings, so we didn't need a squirrel ;>)
