A pair of Siskins have just paid me a visit... and it's the first time I've seen them in my garden.
They are lively little birds... the male (on the right) has a black cap.
... and to see them in the garden was fantastic.
I also managed to capture these images before my bossy little Robin chased them off.

...the one I wasn't too sure about as it doesn't have perches just a row of grooves below the feeding holes.
I needn't have worried... Goldfinches and now the Siskins seem to love it.
The Siskins take my count up to 36 bird species seen either in or from my garden.
Not bad considering it's only 34 ft x 22 ft.
