It was a cold but sunny morning so I wrapped up warm and sat out in the garden to get a bit of fresh air.
Everyone's probably sick of seeing birds sat in the hole in my fence but they make me smile when they do.
My images so far have been taken with me sat just inside my patio doors... about 15 feet from the hole.
Today I tried to capture the birds from a new angle... and after just half an hour I had the shots I was after.
The Robin doesn't appear to be bothered by the noise of the cameras shutter.
I then moved to roughly the same angle I see from inside but around 6 foot closer than usual.
Keeping still I soon had the Robin a Dunnock and two Blackbirds feeding by my feet while Blue and Coal Tits were on the feeders just above my head.
...and the Dunnock taking it in turns to pose for a picture.
A cold morning (I needed defrosting when I got back inside)... but very enjoyable.

So thoughtful of them to frame themselves that way.
