Martin Mere.......................................................... Wildlife and Wetlands Trust

I hope to visit Martin Mere during the next couple of weeks... it's a fantastic place to visit at any time of the year but at the moment it's all about the geese and swans.

The Whooper Swans have traveled all the way from Iceland to spend the winter here...

...and Pink-footed Geese in their thousands descend on Martin Mere... a spectacular sight.

There are plenty of other birds to see at the reserve... like this Pochard.

Eider

Red-crested Pochard after diving...

...and looking very handsome having dried himself out.

I captured my first shots of a Heron feeding at Martin Mere... a few years ago now.

I have seen some wonderful sunsets during my visits at this time of year... it's raining at the moment so fingers crossed for good weather if I get the chance to visit this year.

This is the video clip I took last November... I did share it then... so like me you may be be wondering.
Where has the time gone?

Update on my knee... I went back to work on Monday only to get a bad reaction... more rest I am told.
I would be tearing my hair out... if I had any.
