I have been in the garden for most of the day weeding and preparing the soil for summer bedding plants.
The birds are wary when I am moving around the garden apart from one... this lovely Robin.

As I was digging it was enjoying rich pickings... I captured these pics during a tea break.
I missed out on some wonderful Robin poses... spade in hand instead of a camera.

what a cute little co-gardener. :)
HI Andrew... What a deal for the both of you..he gets the bugs that can destroy your garden..Cute post..
Isn't it true when your working outside, the best opportunity for shots happen when your doing something else...me I always see lovely butterflies while I am mowing the grass..when I get done I can't see a one once I have the camera in hand : }

The garden Robin, lovely, nice snaps too.
Really life is so full on isn't it... Just to be able to take time out to sniff the flowers and kick off the ole slippers. Not easy today, Why the hell is that? The robin a creature that has found benefit through contact with the human... like the dog. Love love such experiences.....
incredible photos, the detail is amazing.
I think you have a friend for life!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Awesome series of photo of this little Red Robin. I also like to sit in my garden and watch the birds and other creature go about their business.

Beautiful pictures of the robin. You need them even with a prey in its beak.

Who needs pesticides when you have loyal birds ready to help!
He is such a sweet looking little bird. So different than our Robins. He's definitely prettier than ours.
