Meal worms are still the food of choice.............................................................

I am still putting out meal worms for the birds but it's costing a small fortune...

...the suet ball and mixed seed feeders need topping up daily.

...and when I throw meal worms on to the patio it's a feeding frenzy...

...and it's not just the House Sparrows...

Dunnocks...

...and the Robin made sure it got it's share.

I guess fish and birds both enjoy meal worms! Nice shots! I know what you mean about costing a small fortune.

Hi Andrew. Your generosity has repaid you with great shots. I have to say, I used meal worms as a treat but when I put bird seed in the same place, I do get the same birds.

The birds certainly love them Andrew. Cost is the main reason we don't put meal worms out as they'd be gone in no time.

I've a ever tried feeding mealworms. Sounds like I might need to win the lottery first;)). Adorable pictures. Off to fill my black oil sunflower feeder.

Beautiful birds and great to be able to see them all that close. The birds must think you are a very generous host!

You will have to have a fund raising event ;-) Keep up the good work.

Terrific shots! I spend more feeding the birds in a week than I do feeding my dog!

They do love the meal worms. Pretty birds. The last two are my favorites.

not surprising you get a bounty of birds flocking for your quality handouts

Great way to capture the bird shots.

But so enjoyable to watch--and your photos are of great quality. I'm currently experimenting with different seeds just thrown out on the steps and deck rails to see what will visit.

Beautiful photos of the Sparrows, Dunnock and Robin.
They love mealworms, I feed those too.

Greetings Irma

Will you be as happy feeding house sparrows on meal worms when you have 50 of them knocking on your window? Maybe it is time to train your robins to take them from your hand, much cheaper and more rewarding too.

Belíssima série!
É difícil fotografá-los, são muito inquietos.
