The tree on Cann Lane............................................ approaching harvest time

On my way home from work this lunchtime I noticed some of the fields were being harvested so I pulled over to capture a few images of the tree on Cann Lane... it's the tree on my header.

I have been recording this view throughout the seasons since last November and now the field is golden.

This is an image taken earlier this year... the only scene I haven't captured is snow.

I have always tried to take images from the same spot... this gap in the hedge.

To the left of my parking place is a gate... today it was open.

If I see an opportunity I usually take it... if I was trespassing I apologize... but I needed to take some images from a different angle for the sake of my art :-)...?
So more of the Cann Lane tree from a different angle tomorrow.

I would like to thank everyone for their lovely comments and well-wishes for Mum.
She finally had her operation on Thursday and was sat up talking the same evening... she now has a long period of recovery we are told but she is a fighter... 81 and she still wants to go to the health club.
Thanks again X

Love the tree series! I've often thought about doing something like that but never followed through. Great news about your mum. Mine is 96 and getting on but still lives alone. I spend much of my spare time looking after her needs. She is the oldest and only survivor of 4 sisters, all of who made it to nearly 90. Lots of longevity here! All the best!

I've said it before, but that has to be my favorite tree! The field ready for harvest is gorgeous! I would love to see that scene with snow.

Glad your mother finally had the operation and she's recovering well!

You may have mentioned it previously, Andrew, but do you know what type of tree this is? Am I the 100th person to ask? Lol.

Beautiful shape -- and yes you were trespassing. (If your front door was left open...)

Have a great weekend.

Thanks for the update on your mum. I remembered about her just after I pushed the "publish" on yesterday's comment and didn't want to clutter up your comments box with another posting. Health club? Good on her! I think you ought to give a name to that tree. Perhaps solicit ideas from your readers..."Name the Tree".

Lovely tree, Andrew's tree. The answer to your question, no I can't make it, it is my mum's birthday, a more important thing.

lovely message to learn that your Mum is now in recovery mode and extra good to know that she is keen to keep up her exercise regime too. I'm sure the owners of the property/tree would actually be quite impressed to think their tree has been featured so beautifully on your blog. Maybe someday you might drop your calling-card with blogsite to them to thank them for the opportunity.
