Ruffled feathers.....................................................

Woodpigeon on my fence.....preening on a windy Sunday morning.

Woodpigeon (Columba palumbus)
.....and relax

Then a game of "hide and seek" behind the Azaleas

The antics of this Woodpigeon really made me smile this morning.

Lots of fun Andrew. The control birds have over their feathers is something to ponder!

I have always marveled at the stately appearance of Wood Pigeons - now I know they have to clean and straighten up just like the rest of us! :-) Nice pics,Andrew

Nice series! And that last photo made me smile: all that preening to have a perfect "red dress" in the end...
